Sport Nutrition in NYSI is the specialised application of the science of nutrition in sport where nutritional needs are catered based on the physical and physiological demands of adolescent athletes in the various sports. These needs are then translated into recommended types and amounts of food and drinks to be consumed to enhance performance and recovery. Sport Nutrition helps adolescent athletes enhance recovery between training sessions and events, support training adaptations, boost immunity, improve body composition and strength, reduce risk of injury and enhance performance.
