Cultivating a Safe Sport Environment
About this workshop | Safe Sport is defined as “an athletic environment that is respectful, equitable and free from all forms of harassment and abuse.” (Olympics Consensus Committee, 2016). In this workshop, you will learn the various types of abuses that a student-athlete can be exposed to and where to seek help. You will also learn how you can contribute to a safe sporting environment. |

Themes we will investigate | - What is Safe Sport? - What are the 5 abuses that can occur? - How do I take care of myself from the abuses? - Who can I seek help from when I encounter an abuse? |
